DreamHack Open Summer 2019 is an upcoming tier two CS:GO event designed to offer some of the lesser-known European teams to meet and battle each other for a prize pool of $100.000.
DreamHack Open Summer 2019 is scheduled to take place between June 15th – 17th in Sweden and although it doesn’t have too many big teams in attendance, it still represents an excellent opportunity for those with an interest in esports betting. As a result, we’ve decided to provide you with a thorough DreamHack Open Summer 2019 betting preview, in case you might be interested in this tournament, either as a simple viewer or as someone who wants to bet on CS:GO.
DreamHack Open Summer 2019 brings together eight teams. Three of them are well-known, although not amazingly strong, while the other five are outsiders. Here’s a complete list.
The first three teams on this list are vastly stronger than the rest, so we definitely expect two of them to play in the Grand Final. Apart from that, a lot will depend on form, as all of the other five teams are relatively close to each other in terms of skill. We’ll make an analysis of their recent performance in a few moments.
DreamHack Open Summer 2019 takes place in two stages.
The Group Stage of DreamHack Open Summer 2019 consists of two groups of four teams. Each group will be played in a GSL format (double-elimination). The Opening and Winners’ matches are Bo1. The other two matches are Bo3. The best two teams from both groups advance to the Playoffs.
This stage is very basic and consists of three matches: two Semifinals and one Grand Final. All three matches are Bo3.
As we’ve mentioned before, DreamHack Open Summer 2019 offers $100.000 in prizes. The money will be shared among the 8 participants in the following way:

In Group A, the clear favorite is AVANGAR but the second place could easily go to any of the other three teams.
In Group B, OpTic Gaming should have a field day while the rest of the squads will have a rough road ahead. Arguably, CR4ZY is the second best team in the group, but they’ll still need to play their best game in order to succeed under these conditions.
These are the available odds for the opening matches of DreamHack Open Summer 2019.
|AVANGAR vs. Winstrike:||1.21 – 4.06*|
|CR4ZY vs. Ancient:||1.38 – 2.85*|
|Tricked vs. Aristocracy:||2.41 – 1.52*|
|OpTic vs. Chaos||1.35 – 3.00*|
Here’s a brief analysis of the five most important teams that will take part in DreamHack Open Summer 2019.
|To Win DH Open Summer 2019 - 5*|
|To Reach Final - 2.2*|
|To Win Group A - 2.25*|
AVANGAR is currently sitting at number 16 in the global rankings, which basically means they’re one of the best teams in the race. However, keep in mind that they’ve made one roster change just two months ago, so they are likely to be in a full process of integrating their 5th player. And while that’s taking place, AVANGAR is more volatile than usual.
Still, even under these conditions, they should in principle win Group A without too many problems. Their main rivals in this group are Aristocracy and Winstrike Team. The first of these two is Taz’s new team, after he left Virtus.pro, while the second one has players such as bondik and Edward in it. In case you haven’t heard of his transfer, Edward left Na’Vi and joined Winstrike a short while ago. His replacement is Boombl4, but that’s a story for another time.
Overall, we favor AVANGAR to play in the Grand Final of DreamHack Open Summer 2019. Their odds of doing that are pretty good and in theory there’s very little that could stop them from achieving this goal.
|To Win DH Open Summer 2019 - 6.5*|
|To Reach Final - 3.25*|
|To Win Group B - 3.25*|
OpTic has fallen off a cliff in the global rankings, going from 18th to 33rd in just several weeks. However, that’s not particularly relevant for DreamHack Open Summer 2019, simply because the level of teams they’ll find here doesn’t compare to those they usually have to play against.
All things considered, OpTic Gaming should place either first or second in Group B and then have an excellent chance of advancing to the Grand Final, unless they meet AVANGAR in the Semifinals.
|To Win DH Open Summer 2019 - 3.75*|
|To Reach Final - 1.9*|
|To Win Group B - 2*|
Not many have heard of CR4ZY, even though they’re sitting at number 17 in the global rankings and are on a big win streak right now. One of their biggest advantages is the experience they have in playing together. Most rosters don’t last very long in CS:GO, as the temptation to accept a better offer immediately after proving yourself even a little bit is high. And yet, CR4ZY’s core duo has been with the team for more than 18 months while the other three players joined around seven months ago.
In their time together, CR4ZY managed to win important trophies, such as United Masters League Season 1 and get top placements in big tournaments such as DreamHack Open Rio de Janeiro 2019 (3rd – 4th) World Electronic Sports Games 2018-2019 (5th – 8th) and DreamHack Open Tours (2nd).
Going into DreamHack Open Summer 2019, CR4ZY is definitely worth watching and we have big expectations from them.

|To Reach Final - 3.25*|
|To Win Group A - 3.5*|
The name may sound new to you, but this is just Taz’s team. They used to play for a different organization (Devils.one) until a short while ago. And now they’re playing under their own brand name.
Over the last month, Aristocracy already managed to win a tier three trophy by beating VIrtus.pro in the Grand Final of ESL Polish Championship Spring 2019. This was a great result for them and it clearly proved that Aristocracy is a fairly strong tier two team at the moment.
At DreamHack Open Summer 2019, we expect Aristocracy to put up a great fight in Group A and be a serious contender for advancing to the Playoffs.
|To Win DH Open Summer 2019 - 8.5*|
|To Reach Final - 4.33*|
|To Win Group A - 5*|
And finally, the fifth important team at DreamHack Open Summer 2019 is Winstrike. The reason why we believe they might do well in the tournament is that they’ve recently gone through some roster changes. And as a result of those changes, the team is now on a different level.
Just consider the fact that Edward, who is the new IGL, has more than 10 years of experience in total at Natus Vincere. And over the last several years, he’s played alongside s1mple, who is the best player in CS:GO. So we’re pretty sure he’s learned some things, which will help him on his new mission.
